Experience
Ms. Maki has significant experience providing estate planning advice to people with a wide variety of needs, including those with capacity issues. She advises executors regarding administration of estates and assists beneficiaries and other claimants who have concerns about the handling of an estate.
She is the Privacy Officer at CARREL+Partners LLP, responsible for the firm's compliance with the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act. She also advises clients on their obligations under PIPEDA.
She has worked with clients in all aspects of real estate, such as residential and commercial sales and purchasing, leasing, land and condominium development, and life leases.
Ms. Maki has been involved in various corporate and commercial matters since she began practicing law, including incorporations, corporate reorganizations, venture financing, employment contracts, and information technology licensing. She also assists non-profit organizations with incorporation.
